About the role

Fire Alarm Technicians / Electricians work in the field undertaking installation, maintenance, testing and fault-finding on fire detection and fire protection systems. You'll be out in the field, thinking on your feet, and building compliant fire safety systems that save lives, looking after the client base in the Central Queensland Region (Rockhampton & Gladstone roles available).

Key responsibilities
Installation, maintenance, testing and fault-finding on fire detection and fire protection systems across surface and underground infrastructure including fire alarm detection systems, gas suppression systems and emergency warning systems
Interface testing between fire systems and other site systems (PLC, BMS, shutdown systems)
Maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) responsibilities, ensuring full compliance with company/site policies and procedures
Ensure that all work aligns with contractual requirements and industry standards and is serviced to the highest standards
Complete service activities to guarantee timely and productive completion of tasks
Maintain effective communication with client representatives and stakeholders to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Proactively identify and resolve site issues,



implementing solutions and improvements to enhance overall operations
Maintenance and repair of portable fire protection equipment to Australian Standards
Routine testing in accordance with Australian Standards to fire protection equipment
Liaising with customers, establishing qualified and friendly relationships

About you
Fire industry experience
Required QBCC Licencing or ability to obtain
Current Driver's Licence
Solid focus and commitment to workplace safety
Excellent customer service and time management
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Positive personal presentation
Good computer/smart device technology skills
