About the role

T&H; Sheetmetal is an established and growing Australian fabrication company based in Meadowbrook. We are looking for an experienced Sheet-Metal Estimator to join our team in a diverse, hands-on role. This is not your typical desk-bound estimating position. We are looking for someone with a strong sheet-metal trade background who understands fabrication, materials, labour and what it actually takes to get a job from quote through to completion.

Key responsibilities
Estimating and quoting stainless steel sheet metal and fabrication works
Quoting projects including handrails, balustrades, stainless steel and architectural metalwork
Review and interpret drawings and specifications, ensuring customer requirements can be effectively translated into production
Calculating materials, labour and fabrication requirements
Procurement - ordering materials and maintaining workshop stock
Build and maintain strong relationships by liaising with customers, suppliers and our workshop team
Assisting with job preparation and scheduling




Answering phones and helping walk-in customers
Pitching in with general workshop and business tasks when required

About you
A Sheet-metal Fabrication trade qualification
Extensive experience within the sheet metal/fabrication industry
Previous estimating and quoting experience
Robust knowledge of fabrication methods, materials and processes
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong computer and organisational skills
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
A robust work ethic and willingness to get involved
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
