We are seeking an experiencedSafety Managerto join a major healthcare infrastructure project based inAlbury, NSW.
This is a key project leadership role responsible for driving safety performance across all construction activities while ensuring compliance with company systems, project requirements, and legislative obligations.
The successful candidate will work closely with project leadership teams to promote a strong safety culture and support the successful delivery of this significant healthcare project.
This is asite-based positionand would suit either an experiencedSafety Manageror a highly capableSenior Safety Coordinatorready to step into a leadership role.
About the Role
Reporting to the Project Leadership Team, the Safety Manager will be responsible for leading all health and safety initiatives on site, ensuring compliance with company standards and fostering a proactive safety culture throughout the project.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding ofCPB Contractors' Safety Management Systemsand previous experience working on major building projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the implementation and continual improvement of project safety management systems.
Promote and drive a positive safety culture across the project.
Provide expert safety advice and support to project management and construction teams.
Conduct site inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.
Lead incident investigations and corrective action management.
Monitor safety performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Facilitate risk assessments, SWMS reviews,



and safety planning activities.
Ensure compliance with relevant WHS legislation, project requirements, and company procedures.
Manage safety reporting and project safety documentation.
Develop robust working relationships with subcontractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
Mentor and support project safety personnel.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Minimum5 years' experiencein aSafety Managercapacity within the construction industry.
Strong understanding of construction safety management systems and legislative requirements.
Previous experience delivering safety outcomes on major building or infrastructure projects.
Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
Strong communication and influencing skills.
Ability to build collaborative relationships with operational teams and subcontractors.
Experience conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
Relevant safety qualifications (Certificate IV, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Degree in WHS or related discipline).
Construction White Card.
Highly Regarded
Previous experience withCPB Contractors Safety Management Systems.
Experience working on large healthcare, commercial, or major building projects.
ICAM or equivalent investigation training.
