About the Role
n
As Store Manager at our new Burwood facility, you'll have the unique opportunity to be part of the store from the beginning – helping establish operations, build local awareness and create the customer experience Roomia is known for.




n
Burwood will offer traditional self storage alongside a significant climate‐controlled storage offering, including dedicated wine storage.
n
This is a hands‐on role. You'll balance customer sales, facility operations, administration and property presentation while taking ownership of overall store performance.
n
You'll be supported by an experienced operations and head office team while having the opportunity to shape the culture and success of one of Roomia's newest locations.
n
Key Responsibilities include:
n
Customer Service and Sales
n
Welcome customers and take the time to understand what they need
n
Match customers with the right self storage, climate‐controlled or wine storage solution
n
Convert enquiries into customers through genuine, consultative conversations
n
Identify and implement opportunities for local business growth
n
Operations
n
Manage daily operations, including rental rate reviews and the delinquency process
n
Conduct regular safety and compliance checks in line with OH&S; requirements
n
Facility Presentation
n
Maintain the presentation of the store, units and customer areas to a high standard
n




Understand operational requirements for systems such as fire alarms, gates, lighting and security
n
Reporting and Administration
n
Maintain accurate customer records and storage agreements
n
Manage store accounts and follow up on overdue payments
n
Prepare business performance updates and ensure procedures are followed
n
Leadership & Culture
n
Lead by example and help create a positive, customer‐first store culture
n
Support, coach and work closely with the Assistant Store Manager
n
Contribute ideas and feedback as we establish our first wine storage offering and continue to grow the Roomia network
n
About You
n
We're looking for someone who brings energy, initiative and genuine care for customers.
n
You'll ideally have:
n
Exceptional customer service and communication skills
n
Experience leading a retail, service, property or customer‐facing operation
n
Strong organisational, sales and relationship‐building skills
n
Previous self storage or retail sales management experience highly regarded, but not essential
