We're seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead operations at our Springvale site. This is an exceptional prospect for a hands-on operational leader to maintain a strong culture of safety, quality and engagement while advancing our World Class Manufacturing (WCM) journey.

About The Role
n
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will take ownership of the site's end-to-end manufacturing operations, leading production, maintenance coordination, logistics compliance, cost management and continuous improvement activities.
n
The Springvale facility is a well-established manufacturing site producing cement roof tiles in a highly engaged and collaborative setting. You'll lead a team of supervisors and support functions while driving operational excellence across safety, quality, productivity and cost performance.

This is a highly visible leadership role requiring a strong presence on the floor and the ability to engage effectively with frontline teams across multiple shifts.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Champion a Zero Harm culture and lead safety performance across the site.
n
Drive operational excellence in safety, quality, delivery, cost and productivity.
n
Lead the implementation and sustainability of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) and Lean Manufacturing practices.
n
Develop and coach site leadership teams to build accountability, capability and engagement.
n
Manage production planning, labour utilisation and operational performance.
n
Partner closely with maintenance teams to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
n
Oversee site compliance, including Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations.
n
Manage operational budgets, cost controls and capital expenditure projects.
n
Foster positive industrial relations and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
n
Ensure accurate production reporting and system compliance through SAP.
n

About You
n
You are an experienced manufacturing leader who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys developing high-performing teams.
n
You Will Bring
n
n
Significant experience leading manufacturing, production or plant operations.
n
Strong Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
n
Demonstrated success implementing operational improvement initiatives and driving measurable results.
n
Proven leadership capability in unionised or complex manufacturing environments.
n
Strong safety leadership and commitment to creating high-performing safety cultures.
n
Experience managing budgets, cost centres and site performance.
n
Exposure to maintenance planning and equipment reliability programs.
n
Understanding of logistics and Chain of Responsibility requirements.
n
Capital project (CapEx) experience.
n
SAP experience will be highly regarded.
n
An engineering qualification or relevant diploma is advantageous but not essential.
