Overview / Responsibilities
Wood has a collaborative maintenance contract with Seqwater to deliver leading maintenance services and project support in the water industry.
These services cover South East Queensland across multiple locations.
Wood is currently recruiting for aProject Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing Project Engineering support to Seqwater's Major Projects Team, to support Project Manager's in the developing and executing Major Capital Projects.
Based at the Mount Crosby Water Treatment Plant, this role will require effective planning, scheduling, cost control, coordination to support the Major Capital Project team ensuring the objectives are met within the required time frames.
At this time,we will only considerapplications from Australian citizens or those with the required permit/VISA for this region, in place.
Responsibilities
Project Engineering support for the development of assigned Capital Projects
Contribute to the ongoing efficiency and effectiveness of the Seqwater asset management system by developing a detailed understanding of the scope, function and nature of the assets used in water treatment, supply system and bulk water storage
Observe and comply with all Seqwater work health and safety, quality and environmental management systems and procedures
Undertake other duties, which are assigned
Experience
Knowledge and experience of workings of Seqwater / Water industry assets and TMR specifications would be advantageous 3-5 year's Project Engineering experience in the Utilities or Oil/Gas industries
Tertiary or Professional Qualification in a Mechanical or Civil discipline
Proficient Computer Skills (MS Suite – Outlook, Excel, Word)
Qualifications
Three (3) to five (5) years relevant experience will be highly regarded
Qualifications in an applicable area of mechanical / civil engineering required
RPEQ will be considered favourably
Current "C" class Queensland drivers' license
