Why this role matters
As a Risk Specialist, you will support the ongoing implementation and continuous improvement of Council's Integrated Risk Management Framework and Crisis Management Response Framework. Working across a diverse organisation, you will partner with leaders and stakeholders to strengthen risk awareness, improve organisational capability, and support preparedness for emerging challenges and critical incidents.
The Opportunity
Support the implementation, development and review of Council's Integrated Risk Management Framework and Crisis Management Response Framework
Provide practical advice and support on risk management and crisis management matters
Deliver key risk and crisis management activities in line with legislative requirements and organisational priorities
Develop resources, training and guidance to build risk capability across the organisation
Prepare quality reports, correspondence and documentation for management, Council and relevant committees




Build strong partnerships to ensure risk management practices remain fit for purpose and support organisational goals
Who You Are
Experience in risk management, governance, compliance, crisis management or a related discipline
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
The ability to navigate complexity with sound judgement and professionalism
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A proactive, solutions-focused approach and commitment to continuous improvement
Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in a related field
