FJA are working in partnership with a major water utilities company to recruit experienced Leakage Technicians to support day-to-day leak detection operations.

Role Overview
n
As a Leakage Technician, you'll be responsible for identifying and locating water leaks across the network using specialist equipment. You'll play a key role in maintaining water efficiency and supporting repair teams with accurate leak detection.

Key Responsibilities As a Leakage Technician
n
n
Conduct detailed surveys to identify the type and location of leaks, particularly on large diameter pipes
n
Use specialist equipment including correlators, pipe tracers, ground microphones, and listening sticks
n
Support repair teams by pinpointing leak locations
n
Carry out project and survey work beyond routine leak detection
n
Complete all required documentation accurately (e.g.,



time sheets, survey forms, leak reports)
n
Work flexibly, including occasional night shifts to minimise disruption to customers
n
n
Desirable Experience
n
n
Familiarity with Trunk Mains, Validation, and Seepage techniques
n
Experience working within water distribution networks
n
n
Preferred Certifications
n
n
EUSR Water Hygiene Training
n
Unit 2 Street Works
n
n
Leakage Technician Requirements
n
n
Full and valid UK driving licence (essential)
n
Proficiency in using leak detection tools
n
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
