Job Description
n
Lead and oversee daily payroll operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness and quality standards
n
Motivate and guide the payroll team to deliver accurate, timely and customer-focused payroll services
n
Drive adoption of updated workflows and technologies and ensure team proficiency
n
Analyse and validate payroll data
n
Produce detailed reports for management, customers and regulatory bodies
n
Collaborate on improving payroll policies and compliance
n
Mentor team members and maintain solid stakeholder relationships
n
Support business reforms and service delivery
n
Implement the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and uphold its Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG
n

Requirements
n
n
Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline, or demonstrated successful experience in
stakeholder/customer
engagement in a Shared Services/Payroll environment
n
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
n
Demonstrated expertise in supporting and guiding payroll teams
n
Knowledge of payroll operations, data analysis and validation, reporting, workflows, technologies, policies and compliance
n
Commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG
n




Australian work rights: Australian citizenship, permanent residency, New Zealand citizenship, or a valid work visa
n
Successful candidates must undertake pre-employment screening, including a National Criminal History Check
n
Successful candidates not currently employed by the Department must provide a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance number
