Motor Mechanic‐Full‐time

Full‐time Motor Mechanic position vacant at an established automotive workshop KPR Automotive located at the Western Suburbs in QLD. Minimum 38 hours a week.

Job Description

* Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles.
n
* Repair and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed.
n
* Detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and parts with the assistance of computers.
n
* Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts.
n
* check and repair suspensions, brakes and wheel alignments of automotive vehicles.
n
* Reassembling engines and parts following repair.
n
* Manage stock reordering and inventory as directed, putting the stock (for example brakes, sparkplugs, oil filters) at the proper places.
n
* Maintain and manage tools, equipment, and machinery in positive condition.
n




* Deliver outstanding customer service at all times, ensuring a professional and polite manner when communicating with customers.
n
* Full adherence to regulations, relating to pollution and health and safety at all times.
n
* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment through ensuring the correct operation of all tools and specialised equipment.
n
* Coordinating with other mechanics where teamwork was needed.
n

Applicant must have:
n
n
* Completed at least Cert-III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology and a minimum of 1 year of full-time work experience as a motor mechanic. At least 1 year work experience in servicing electric and hybrid vehicles. At least 1 year work experience with Intercontinental, Asian and European car vehicles
n
* Must hold a current driver's license.
n
* A desire to achieve results.
n
n
Annual Salary (depending on experience/skills) between $80,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation.
