Job Description
This isn't a project management role from a distance.
n
Lead Regional Projects, Not Mining Production.
n
We're not looking for someone who simply attends meetings, updates a program and waits for the site team to resolve the difficult issues.
n
We're looking for a Project Manager who takes ownership from kick off to the close out.
n
Someone who understands civil construction, detailed earthworks, roadworks and production. Someone who can connect what is happening on site with the program, budget, client expectations and contractual requirements.
n
The opportunity
n
WCP Civil delivers civil construction projects throughout regional Western Australia, including bulk and detailed earthworks, roadworks, infrastructure upgrades and works within MRWA assets and operational CBH facilities.
n
Our projects change in location, scale and complexity, instead they require a Project Manager who can establish a clear delivery strategy, support regional teams and maintain control to determine whether a project succeeds.
n
What we're looking for
n
Demonstrated civil construction project management experience
n
Robust knowledge of earthworks, roadworks, specifications and contractual requirements
n
Practical understanding of production rates and heavy-plant utilisation
n
Strong financial management, forecasting and commercial awareness
n
Experience delivering regional infrastructure, industrial or CBH projects
n
Confidence managing clients, subcontractors and project teams
n
A proactive approach to planning, risk management and problem-solving
n
Experience with Procore or similar project-management systems
n
What we're NOT looking for
n
A coordinator who needs others to take ownership of delivery
n
Someone who measures progress by activity rather than completed production
n
A Project Manager who leaves the commercial position until the end of the month
n
Someone whose experience is limited to supporting mining operations
n
Someone who manages exclusively through emails, meetings and spreadsheets
n
The regional difference
n
We deliver work throughout regional WA, stay in the communities where our projects are located and operate project-specific drive-in drive-out rosters.
n
The locations change. The challenges change. Your responsibility for the outcome does not.
n
This environment suits a Project Manager who enjoys variety, builds strong regional relationships and is prepared to remain connected to what is actually happening on site.
n
Because we offer more than just a job. You'll work across a variety of civil construction projects throughout regional Western Australia, becoming part of the communities where we deliver our work. We operate flexible, project-specific rosters and value a healthy balance between work and family life. If you enjoy regional living, practical project delivery, and being part of a close-knit team, you'll feel right at home.
n
Plan the work. Know the numbers. Support the team. Own the outcome.
n
Your application will include the following questions:
n
n
Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
n
What's your expected annual base salary?
n
How much notice are you required to give your current employer?
n
How many years of Civil Construction Management experience do you have?
