We're looking for an experienced and reliable Duty Manager to join the team at the Newmarket Hotel.

This is a hands‐on role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading a team and delivering a great experience for our customers. We're looking for someone with a strong hospitality background who is confident managing a busy venue and can take ownership of the shift.

About the Role
n
As a Duty Manager, you'll be responsible for the day‐to‐day running of the venue during your shifts, including:
n
Leading and supporting the team across bar and gaming
n
Maintaining strong venue presentation and service standards
n
Managing cash handling and end‐of‐shift procedures
n
Ensuring RSA, gaming and venue compliance requirements are followed
n
Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally
n
Supporting promotions, entertainment and venue events
n
Opening and closing the venue as required
n
Working closely with the Venue Manager and management team
n
What We're Looking For
n
The successful applicant will ideally have:
n
Previous supervisory or Duty Manager experience within hospitality
n
Current RSA
n
Responsible Person approval/badge, or willingness and ability to obtain
n




Gaming experience is highly regarded
n
Gaming qualifications or willingness to undertake required gaming training
n
Robust communication and leadership skills
n
Confidence dealing with customers and managing staff
n
Good attention to detail and an understanding of venue compliance
n
Availability across a flexible roster, including nights and weekends
n
A positive attitude and willingness to get involved wherever required
n
We're looking for someone who leads from the front and isn't afraid to jump behind the bar, assist the gaming room, help the team during busy periods or deal with an issue when it arises.
