We are seeking a qualified Chef to join our aged care facility in The Basin on a part-time basis.
n
This is a hands‐on role within a large, well-established residential aged care home comprising nine residential wings, supported by a collaborative kitchen team and a welcoming community of residents.
n
Working within a structured and supportive environment, you will play an important role in preparing nutritious, high‐quality meals that contribute to the health, wellbeing and dining experience of our residents.
n

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Prepare and present fresh, nutritious and high‐quality meals for residents and staff
n
Assist with bulk meal preparation and daily kitchen operations
n
Prepare texture‐modified meals in accordance with individual dietary requirements




n
Maintain a clean, safe and well‐organised kitchen while following food safety and WHS requirements
n
Provide friendly, efficient service and contribute positively to a respectful team environment
n

Skills and Experiences
n
About You
n
n
Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
n
Previous experience in a Chef role, with aged care experience essential
n
Strong ability to prepare and deliver high‐quality meals in a care‐focused environment
n
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
n
Robust organisation, time management and attention to detail, with a genuine commitment to resident wellbeing
n
