With a reputation for quality, technical expertise and exceptional client service, the business is continuing to grow and is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join its delivery team.

The Opportunity
n
This is a hands-on Project Manager role with genuine ownership from project commencement through to completion.
n
You'll work across the office and site, coordinating clients, consultants, contractors, trades and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, to specification and within budget.
n
You'll be equally comfortable walking a site, speaking with trades and solving issues in real time as you are sitting at your desk managing programs, budgets, variations, reporting and client communication.
n
The role will suit someone who understands construction from the ground up and has the project management capability to bring everything together.

What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Take end-to-end ownership of healthcare construction and fit-out projects.
n
Manage project programs, budgets, costs, variations and forecasts.
n
Coordinate contractors, trades, suppliers, consultants and internal teams.
n
Maintain solid client relationships and act as the key point of contact throughout delivery.
n
Monitor progress, identify risks and resolve issues before they impact the project.
n
Manage procurement, contractor performance, quality and site requirements.
n
Ensure projects meet relevant building, safety, compliance and client requirements.
n
Coordinate handovers, defects, approvals and project close‐out.
n




Work closely with Design and Pre‐Construction to ensure smooth project transitions.
n
Contribute to improving project delivery processes, systems and reporting.
n

About You
n
We're looking for a practical, commercially minded Project Manager who knows construction and isn't afraid to get out on site.
n
Your background could come through a number of pathways. You might be:
n
n
An experienced Project Manager from healthcare construction, fit-out, commercial interiors or a related environment.
n
A qualified tradesperson who has progressed into project management and developed strong commercial and client management skills.
n
A Site Manager, Foreman or Construction Manager ready to step further into a Project Management role.
n
n
You will:
n

Understand construction methodology and what it takes to deliver a project on site.
n
Be confident managing programs, budgets, contractors and stakeholders.
n
Be comfortable moving between site-based problem solving and office-based project management.
n
Have strong communication and client management skills.
n
Be commercially aware, with an understanding of costs, variations and project margins.
n
Take ownership and accountability for your projects.
n
Be organised, proactive and solutions-focused.
n
Have a strong understanding of WHS, quality and construction requirements.
