Job Description
This is an established private practice offering an immediate GP referral base from day one, working alongside experienced
gastroenterologists
and in a multidisciplinary team with colorectal and general surgeons.
n
The position would be offered alongside a 0.4 EFT gastroenterologist appointment at Grampians Health Ballarat — an initial 6-month term with the possibility of extension to 12 months, and the potential to continue in a public sector role thereafter.
n
The service has a growing team with room for a current gastroenterologist; current subspecialty services include endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), advanced endoscopic therapeutics including EMR, IBD multidisciplinary care (with intestinal ultrasound from ****) and hepatology, with close links to Melbourne tertiary hospitals.
n
The successful applicant could contribute to and expand these services, or pursue their own subspecialty interests.
Ballarat is one of regional Victoria's largest and fastest-growing cities, offering a lifestyle and cost of living Melbourne can't match — heritage character, excellent schools, a strong food, arts and sporting scene, and easy access to the Grampians and beyond.
n
We are looking for a gastroenterologist keen to settle in the region for the longer term.
n
The ideal candidate will have MBBS FRACP GESA accreditation.
n
We acknowledge and pay respect to the Traditional Custodians and Elders — past, present and emerging — of the lands and waters on which RACP members and staff live, learn and work. RACP acknowledges Māori as tangata whenua and Te Tiriti o Waitangi partners in Aotearoa New Zealand.
