Carpentaria is a not-for-profit organisation providing Disability, Therapy and Community Services for children, adolescents and adults, through:
Allied Health therapy programs (including Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology)

Purpose
The Cultural Officer is a key role within Carpentaria's Out of Home Care (OoHC) program, responsible for providing expert cultural guidance, advice, and support to ensure services are delivered in a culturally safe and responsive manner that is grounded in the rights, values, and lived experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people, and families.
The ideal candidate
Identifies as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
Robust cultural knowledge, relationships, and understanding of Northern Territory cultural and community protocols.
Experience working in community services, disability, youth, OoHC, or similar human services.




Experience developing and implementing Cultural Support Plans or similar cultural documentation.
