About the role
This is a broad Group Finance
leadership role offering exposure well beyond traditional financial reporting.
Reporting to the General
Manager, Global Finance and leading a small team, you will be responsible for
the timely and accurate consolidation and reporting of Breville Group's
financial results to senior management, the Board, Audit & Risk Committee and
external stakeholders, including the ASX.
The role provides broad exposure
across our global business, with responsibilities spanning Group and external
reporting, technical accounting, audit, corporate governance, Group insurance,
sustainability reporting and finance transformation.
AI, automation and continuous
improvement are an important part of how we operate within Group Finance.
We
are looking for someone who is already applying AI practically in their work
and can demonstrate how they have used it to improve the speed, efficiency and
quality of financial reporting and analysis.
You will play an important role in
identifying, designing and implementing further AI-enabled reporting and
automation opportunities across Group Finance.
The role would particularly suit
a high-performing Manager or Senior Manager currently within a Big 4 or leading
mid-tier accounting firm who is looking to move into commerce, or someone who
has recently made that transition and is looking for broader exposure within an
ASX-listed global business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead
the consolidation and reporting of Group financial results, including
reporting to senior management, the Board and Audit & Risk Committee.
Lead
the Group's Half Year and Full Year ASX reporting requirements, including
Appendix 4D, Appendix 4E and coordination of the Annual Report.
Coordinate




preparation of Board and Audit & Risk Committee reporting, managing
key stakeholders and reporting timelines.
Lead
technical accounting matters across the Group, including preparation of
technical accounting papers and maintenance of Group accounting policies.
Manage
the annual external audit and half year review, working closely with
external auditors and stakeholders across the Group.
Lead,
coach and develop the Group Financial Reporting team, creating an
setting of collaboration, ownership and continuous improvement.
Identify,
design and implement AI-enabled reporting, automation and process
improvement solutions across Group Finance, including the continued
automation of Board reporting.
Regularly
review finance processes, systems and data transformation opportunities to
improve efficiency, reporting quality and data integrity.
Manage
the Group insurance portfolio, including annual renewals, claims and
day-to-day insurance matters.
Coordinate
the Group Risk Matrix and annual self-compliance process for reporting to
the Audit & Risk Committee.
Support
the Group's sustainability reporting requirements, including
climate-related financial disclosures and associated assurance.
Lead
and review local statutory reporting requirements across relevant Group
entities.
Support
FP&A; initiatives, budgeting, analysis and broader Group Finance
projects as required.
We are looking for a high-calibre finance professional who combines strong technical accounting capability with commercial judgement, curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset.
You will ideally have:
A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
CA/ACA or CPA quali
fication.
Strong professional accounting firm experience is highly regarded, ideally currently at Manager or Senior Manager level within a Big 4 or leading mid-tier firm, or having recently transitioned into a financial reporting / Group Finance role in commerce.
Experience working with ASX-listed or other large, complex clients or organisations would be advantageous.
Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly IFRS and statutory reporting requirements,



with ASX reporting experience highly regarded.
Demonstrated practical experience applying AI tools to improve the efficiency, speed and quality of finance processes, reporting and analysis, including automation of repeatable activities.
A genuine interest in continuing to explore and apply AI, automation and emerging technologies within Finance.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and a high standard of data integrity.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting, consolidation and/or business intelligence systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to work with senior management and Board-level stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships across a global organisation.
Demonstrated ability to take ownership, show initiative and manage multiple concurrent deliverables and deadlines across different time zones.
A collaborative, hands-on leadership style and the ability to lead and develop a small team.
