Credit Clear Group ( CCR) , is seeking a hands-on and commercially minded Financial Accountant to join our growing finance team.
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller you'll play a key role in supporting the financial performance of our legal practice while gaining exposure to a diverse portfolio of businesses across the Group.

The Role
Our finance team supports 14 entities across the CCR Group, a collection of businesses operating across legal services, debt collection, financial services and technology.
Your primary focus will be managing the end-to-end financial responsibilities for our legal entity, representing approximately *****% of your role, while supporting other entities across the Group for the remainder of your time.
You'll be part of a collaborative finance team of 11, with dedicated Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable support, allowing you to focus on delivering meaningful financial insights and contributing to business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
Balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
Monthly accruals, prepayments and journals
Cash flow forecasting and treasury management
Fixed asset accounting and maintenance of asset registers
Assistance with budgeting and forecasting processes
Preparation of year-end audit workpapers and audit support
Preparation and lodgement of BAS, IAS and GST returns
FBT preparation and coordination
Assistance with income tax requirements and external advisers
Regulatory and statutory compliance obligations
Trust account reconciliations
WIP management and reporting
Preparation of client invoices and stakeholder reporting
Assist with preparation and monitoring of P&L; performance
Analyse profitability, revenue and expenditure trends
Provide financial insights to operational leaders and senior management
Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning activities
Partner with operational stakeholders to provide meaningful financial insights
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
Support system implementations and business improvement projects
Undertake ad hoc analysis and finance projects as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
CPA or CA qualified (or actively working towards completion)
At least 3 years' experience in a broad accounting or financial accounting role
Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and taxation requirements
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
Strong organisational and time management abilities
Advanced Excel capability and experience working with accounting systems
Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Highly Regarded
Experience within legal, professional services or debt collection environments
Exposure to legal trust accounting
Experience with Xero, LEAP, Clio or similar systems
Process improvement and automation experience
Previous exposure to an ASX-listed setting
