SCHADS Level 4: $92,000 FTE (based on 37.5 hours) plus 12% super plus 17.5 Annual Leave Loading

Playgroup NSW is a not-for-profit organisation that helps connect families and children to people and services in the community to positively impact their quality of life.
For over 50 years, Playgroup NSW has delivered and linked over 72,000 families to vital services such as parent support groups and playgroups to foster early childhood development, navigate the challenges of parenting and build strong, resilient communities.
With 850 playgroup sessions operating each week, and more than 28,000 sessions held annually, and support from over 700 dedicated volunteers, Playgroup NSW continues to make a significant difference in the lives of young children
and their families across the state.
About the role
The Families and Community Coordinator
,
Supported Playgroups
is responsible for
the quality and ongoing delivery of
programs, projects, and initiatives focused on diverse and vulnerable groups within the Supported Playgroups portfolio.
This role supports the Program Lead in
Supported Playgroups
service delivery, ensuring positive outcomes for children, families, and PGNSW staff
.
Full Position Description
What
you'll
be doing
Program and Service Delivery
-
Support PGNSW staff
in the ongoing delivery of high-quality, supported programs, focusing on children and families with diverse needs, ensuring inclusivity, adherence to best practice and positive outcomes for all children.
Provide PGNSW staff and partners with guidance,



relevant resources and support for program delivery.
Staff Support and Capacity Building
Work with PGNSW staff
and partners to support them in running their Supported Playgroups and implementing inclusive programs.
Compliance and Continuous Improvement
Support the Program Lead, Supported Playgroups, in
identifying
,
developing
and implementing continuous improvement strategies across NSW Supported Playgroups.
Financial
Support Program Lead, Supported Playgroups, with all reporting requirements, including government funding, portal submissions and any related reporting as
requested
.
People Management and Stakeholder Engagement
Develop and
maintain
effective communication and professional relationships with children, families (especially those with diverse needs), PGNSW staff
, partners, team members, critical
stakeholders
and funding agencies.
Organisational Accountabilities
Contribute to the development and delivery of PGNSW's strategic and annual plans as
.
What
we're
looking for
Degree/Diploma in a relevant discipline (community, social science, disability, early education and care, or other relevant discipline).
Practical knowledge and understanding of Early Childhood Pedagogy and Practice.




Strong knowledge of working with and supporting children and families with diverse needs, including those experiencing vulnerability, disability, and cultural or linguistic
diversity
(lived experience highly regarded).
Demonstrated practical experience supporting staff
to deliver quality specialised programs and services.
Demonstrated experience in networking with external stakeholders such as Government departments and Local Government.
report-writing capability, coupled with strong attention to detail, organisational, and time management skills.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and organisational policies, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Working with Children Check verification.
