Job Description
Part-time - 22.5 HPW | Six-month fixed-term appointment

Distinctive Options is a long-established disability services organisation supporting people with disability to live with greater independence, choice and connection in their communities. We provide a range of supports across Victoria and are continuing to grow our presence in Bendigo and surrounding areas.

About the role
n
We are looking for an experienced Disability Services Manager to lead our Bendigo services for a six-month fixed-term period while a member of our team is on leave.
n
This is an opportunity to step into a key regional leadership role and make an immediate contribution to a well-established local team.
n
You will have responsibility for the day-to-day operation and performance of our Bendigo services, including group-based programs and individualised supports, while also helping us strengthen and grow our services across the region.
n
You will lead and support the local team, oversee participant outcomes and service quality, manage workforce and operational performance, and work closely with our broader Services & Employment leadership team and specialist corporate teams.
n
The role is part time,
with flexibility to agree the working arrangement and hours with the successful candidate.
n
What we are looking for
n
We are looking for an experienced disability services leader who can quickly build trust, provide transparent and practical leadership, and keep a strong focus on both participants and service performance.
n
You will ideally bring:
n
n
experience leading disability, community or other human services;
n
strong people leadership and the ability to develop capable and accountable teams;
n
a sound understanding of the NDIS, participant rights, quality and safeguarding;
n
experience managing budgets, workforce resources and operational performance;
n
good judgement and confidence in managing complex service and people matters;
n
strong communication and stakeholder relationship skills; and
n
a practical, collaborative and solutions-focused leadership style.
n
n
Experience across group programs, individualised supports, SIL or other housing-based disability services would be highly regarded.
n
