About The Role
n
The Gyprock Trade Centre Store Manager is a full-time position based at our Hobart, TAS store, reporting to the Area Manager. We are seeking a candidate with proven supervisory experience, a strong focus on safety, and excellent communication and computer skills. A forklift licence and relevant experience are advantageous. Management experience in retail or a trade centre environment is preferred.

Work Hours:
n
Monday to Friday, between 6:00am and 3:00pm.

In this role you will get involved in the below:
n
n
Safety: Champion safety compliance and ensure the wellbeing of the team, customers, and the public. Conduct regular site safety walks to maintain a safe operating environment.
n
Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise employees to ensure they deliver excellent customer service and perform their duties effectively.
n
Sales and Marketing: Oversee sales activities, promote the store and its products, support marketing campaigns to drive traffic and increase sales, and develop new accounts. Use analytical tools to make informed business decisions.
n
Financial Management: Monitor the store's P&L; performance and make decisions to improve profitability.
n
Compliance: Ensure the store complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
n
Customer Deliveries: Coordinate and support customer deliveries as required.

About You
n
n
You take pride in providing excellent customer service and building trusted relationships.
n
Comfortable using retail systems (experience will be highly regarded).
n
A valid forklift licence is desirable.
n
Ideally have a retail or trade background.
n
Have proven experience leading or supervising a team.
n
Understand Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and transport regulations.
n
A true team player who enjoys working collaboratively.
n
