Responsibilities
n
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Leading Hand Service Crew to join our underground operations at Lake Cowal. This is an excellent prospect for a capable underground mining professional to step into a leadership role, guiding a high-performing team while ensuring critical underground services are delivered safely and efficiently.
n
As a key member of the underground leadership team, you will provide day-to-day direction to Service Crew personnel and play an active role in supporting production, maintaining mine infrastructure and fostering a strong safety culture.

About The Role
n
Reporting to the Underground Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating and leading Service Crew activities while working alongside your team underground.
n
Your Responsibilities Will Include
n
n
Leading and mentoring Service Crew Operators to achieve daily production and development objectives
n
Coordinating underground service installations including ventilation, air, water and pumping systems
n




Ensuring work is completed safely and in accordance with site standards and procedures
n
Assisting with the installation and maintenance of mine infrastructure
n
Planning and allocating daily tasks to crew members
n
Supporting ground support, rehabilitation and dewatering activities
n
Conducting pre-start meetings, workplace inspections and hazard assessments
n
Monitoring equipment condition and reporting maintenance requirements
n
Driving a positive safety culture through visible leadership and accountability
n
Assisting Supervisors with shift reporting and workforce coordination
n

Qualifications

About You
n
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
n
n
Extensive underground hard rock mining experience
n
Previous experience in a Service Crew role
n
Demonstrated leadership experience as a Leading Hand or readiness to step into a leadership position
n
Strong understanding of underground mining operations and safety systems
n
Excellent communication and team leadership skills
n
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment
n
Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
n
Current Australian Driver's Licence
n
