About the Role
n
We are seeking an experienced and driven Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I;) Quality Advisor to support maintenance, shutdown, inspection and project activities within a major refinery environment.
n
Reporting to the Site Management Team, this role is responsible for providing quality assurance and quality control oversight across a broad range of E&I; activities, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved procedures, engineering standards, client requirements and Australian Standards.
n

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Provide Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) support for E&I; maintenance, shutdown, inspection and project activities.
n
Verify E&I; work is executed in accordance with approved procedures, work packs, engineering standards, specifications and client work instructions.
n
Conduct field inspections, audits and quality surveillance activities throughout the execution of work.
n
Review and monitor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Inspection Test Records (ITRs), check sheets and quality documentation.
n
Raise, coordinate and track Technical Queries (TQs) with engineering teams to resolve technical issues prior to work execution.
n
Investigate quality incidents, non-conformances and repeat failures, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
n
Support supervisors and trades personnel in meeting quality requirements and maintaining compliance with refinery procedures and Australian Standards.
n
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, auditing programs and the ongoing development of quality systems and procedures.
n
Facilitate quality meetings, lessons learned workshops and continuous improvement forums across multiple stakeholders.
n

Day-to-Day Activities
n
n
Perform walkdowns and field inspections of scheduled maintenance, inspection and installation activities.
n
Verify quality records, inspection reports, test results and progressive sign-offs are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
n
Review work packs before release to the field and identify documentation deficiencies, missing quality requirements or inspection hold points.
n
Work closely with E&I; Supervisors to coordinate planned work and identify required quality control activities for each scope.
n
Trend and analyse quality incidents, NCRs and repeat failures to identify opportunities for improvement.
n
Promote a positive quality culture through coaching, mentoring, field leadership interactions and proactive engagement with work crews.
n
Monitor compliance with refinery standards, specifications and client requirements.
n

About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
Electrical Trade Qualification and current Electrical Licence or Engineering Degree.
n
Experience within oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, mining, power generation or heavy industrial environments.
n
Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control principles within maintenance and shutdown environments.
n
Experience reviewing work packs, ITPs, ITRs, test documentation and inspection records.
n
Sound knowledge of Australian Standards and engineering specifications relating to electrical and instrumentation systems.
n
Strong investigation, problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
n
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic quality management systems.
n
Ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, planners, trades personnel and client representatives.
n
n
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
n
n
Certificate IV in Quality Auditing or Quality Management.
n
Internal or Lead Auditor qualification.
n
Experience working within a refinery or petrochemical facility.
n
Previous experience supporting major shutdowns and turnaround events.
n
Knowledge of ISO **** Quality Management Systems.
n
