Job Description
The Role
n Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the month-end process, support project financial reporting, manage the Fixed Asset Register, and provide leadership to the Finance Officer responsible for Accounts Payable.

Perform detailed reconciliations across key accounts, reviewing FY-to-date transactions to identify and resolve allocation discrepancies
n
Oversee AP function and provide guidance to a Finance Officer, ensuring accuracy and control
n
Complete balance sheet reconciliations and support P&L; variance analysis
n
Deliver accurate and timely month-end close and management reporting
n
Prepare and post journals including accruals, prepayments, allocations, and depreciation
n
Assist with preparation of the monthly EOM reporting pack
n
Support BAS/GST processing and payroll-related accounting requirements
n
Extract and analyse data from ERP systems and related sources
n
Ensure project financials are accurate and reliable for forecasting purposes
n
Maintain the Fixed Asset Register including additions, disposals, and transfers
n




Process monthly depreciation journals and ensure capitalisation compliance
n
Support process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies
n

n You are a technically capable accountant who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys supporting both finance and operational stakeholders. You bring strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work effectively under deadlines.

Previous experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role
n
Strong understanding of month-end processes, reconciliations and journals
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
n
CPA/CA qualification or currently working towards completion
n
