About the Role
As an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant, you will provide personalised home care support to older Australians in
Rockhampton
so they can continue living independently in their own homes.
You will travel between clients' homes to support multiple people each day, so a willingness to travel is essential (you will be reimbursed $1.01c per KM travelled while you are working).
We have a casual opportunity with shifts available between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work and no evening or overnight shifts.

Key Responsibilities
Domestic assistance such as light house cleaning and meal preparation
Personal care inclusive of showering, daily hygiene, monitoring of health and wellbeing
Community access to medical appointments and social activities
Provide support with daily tasks and routines
Build positive relationships with clients and their families
Skills & Experience
Certificate III in Individual Support, Ageing Support or similar
An Australian Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
Passionate about making a positive impact in our ageing community
A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)
Successful candidates will be required to undertake relevant pre-employment checks to ensure the safety of our clients.
This includes a National Criminal History Record Check and an Aged Care Statutory Declaration.
