Canterbury Hospital is seeking a dynamic, highly skilled individual to fulfill a Primary Contact Physiotherapist role, as well as manage Secondary Contract referrals with our Emergency Department.
Provide specialist services within the Emergency Department (ED) and senior clinical leadership within physiotherapy, including optimisation of patient/client care delivery, as well as supporting the mentoring and development of staff.
As the senior Emergency Department Physiotherapist, Level 4, the duties involve provision of both Primary Contact Physiotherapy (PCP) and Secondary Contact Physiotherapy (SCP) models of care within the ED.
The PCP role provides high-quality musculoskeletal patient management assisting in improvement of patient flow in the ED and reducing length of stay.
Must hold a Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Physiotherapy, recognised for AHPRA Physiotherapy Registration and that provides eligibility for full membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge,
skill and significant clinical experience in the provision of Musculoskeletal and Orthopaedic Physiotherapy, to adults and children.
Extensive experience and demonstrated ability in building and maintaining professional and therapeutic relationships through the application of written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Has full availability to work on weekends (hours are usually between 9:30am -6:00pm)
