The Role
Working with victim survivors, including children, young people and their non-offending parent/guardian to support those at risk of experiencing, or victims of family and domestic violence.
The service approach supports and contributes to the outcome identified in The National Plan to Reduce Violence Against Women and their Children **********.
The counsellor will complete comprehensive risk assessments to determine the current level of risk, history and pattern of violence and inform risk management and intervention.
Selection Criteria
Minimum bachelor's degree in, Psychology, Social Work/Sciences, Mental Health, Counselling, Childhood Development and/or Family Studies and related disciplines or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years relevant experience in working with children and families with complex needs e.g. domestic violence, homelessness, abuse, schooling issues.Whereby service design was inclusive of social, emotional, mental, and physical needs.
Experience in case management and coordination of client services.
Demonstrated experience in intake, assessment and case management.
Knowledge and experience in early intervention and prevention program services.
Valid WA Driver License and Working with Children Check
