We're looking for a Strategy Advisor who can apply commercial insight, rigorous analysis and sound judgement to those choices.
Job Description
The Opportunity
If your career has been built around diagnosing complex problems and shaping strategies for others to execute, you already know the value of structured thinking and sound judgement.
You know how to turn ambiguity into a explicit recommendation.
Across Strait Link's marine, road and infrastructure assets, you won't hand the strategy over and move on.
You'll stay with it — building the relationships and business understanding needed to see it through to execution, with a genuine hand in what happens next.
Reporting to the Chief Transformation Officer, you'll work with senior leaders on the strategic and commercial priorities shaping Strait Link's future.
Your work will include:
Developing business cases, financial models and commercial recommendations.
Analysing markets, competitors, opportunities and risks.




Supporting enterprise and divisional strategic planning.
Preparing recommendations for the Board, Executive Leadership Team and shareholders.
Turning complex information into clear, actionable advice.
Supporting priority initiatives through implementation.
Desired Skills and Experience
What Will Help You Succeed
You'll likely have built your experience in consulting, strategy, corporate development or a commercial role where you've had to work through complex problems and turn your thinking into practical recommendations.
You'll be comfortable moving between analysis and conversation — building the model when needed, asking good questions, testing assumptions and listening to the people who understand the business best.
You'll bring:
At least three years' relevant experience.
Strong financial modelling, business case and analytical capability.
Strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Sound commercial judgement and the confidence to challenge constructively.
A relevant tertiary qualification.
Experience in infrastructure, transport, logistics, shipping or another complex operating environment will be highly regarded, but isn't essential.
This is a chance to move beyond advising from the outside and become part of the business you're helping shape.
You'll work closely with senior decision-makers, contribute to significant strategic and commercial work and see the impact of your contribution firsthand.
