Siena Catholic College, Pymble is seeking a passionate and skilled Director of Teaching and Learning. Siena Catholic College is a new K-12 co-educational College opening on the North Shore, and we are seeking an individual who will be suitably qualified, enjoy working in a energetic and cohesive team, and who will bring energy, commitment and enthusiasm to support the development of this emerging College.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity commencing in Term ******. There is a Coordinator 3 allowance associated with this position.
The Director of Teaching and Learning is a member of the Senior Leadership Team, sharing responsibility for leadership of the College's vision, mission and strategic priorities. The Director of Teaching and Learning is delegated responsibility by the Principal to work with the Assistant Principals to lead teaching and learning. The Director of Teaching and Learning also works with the Assistant Principals, other senior leaders and teaching staff to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment that prioritises professional learning for staff to ensure student learning growth.

About the School
In January **** Siena Catholic College, a new K-12 Catholic College on the North Shore, will bring together the communities of Sacred Heart Catholic Primary, Pymble and Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Primary, West Pymble, to form a K-12 co-educational schooling pathway for families. Under the Principalship of Brenda Timp, this exciting new venture will build on the existing strength of Sacred Heart and Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Catholic primary Schools. We are seeking staff with energy and commitment who will help to shape the future of the College.
Specific Criteria
Support the Catholic life and culture of the school within the evangelising mission of the Church
Demonstrate strategic leadership, working collaboratively with the members of the Senior Leadership team to realise the mission, vision and strategic intentions of the College
Work collaboratively with the Director of Wellbeing and Leader of Learner Diversity to support the holistic development of all students
Provide leadership, support and professional development for the Leaders of Learning
Ensure that the learning experiences for students are of a high quality and are differentiated to meet students at their point of challenge
Administer NESA Curriculum administration
Administer all College-based and external assessments and examinations, including ROSA, NAPLAN and HSC
Administer the subject selection
Administer Collaborative Planning Time and Continuous Improvement Conversations for all staff
Collaborate with the Assistant Principals and Leader of Data and Accreditation to effectively use data to track students' learning gain and growth
Oversee the monitoring and recording of qualitative and quantitative data to improve student outcomes




Work collaboratively with the Leader of Wellbeing to ensure that the Middle Leadership Team functions as a cohesive and integrated team
Administer all reporting processes in the College
Convene and chair Learning Teams meetings
Assist the Senior Leadership team in planning and facilitating major college events
Be involved in the extracurricular life of the College
A deep commitment to safeguarding as everyone's responsibility and prioritising child safety

Applicants who are not currently working in a Broken Bay systemic school must have a 4 year training qualification or be enrolled to undertake further study that will provide them with a four year trained qualification to be eligible to apply for any teaching position in the Diocese.
