About the Role
OAGS is seeking a dynamic, energetic and cutting-edge educator to serve as Head of Sport. This permanent full-time role will provide strategic and operational leadership for sport across the School, inspiring participation, supporting student achievement and ensuring the sporting program is well organised, inclusive, safe and aligned with the Christian mission and values of OAGS.
The Head of Sport will work closely with the Heads of School, PDHPE staff, teachers, coaches and external sporting associations to deliver high-quality sport programs from Pre-K to Year 12. The role includes oversight of carnivals, representative sport, inter-school competitions, coach induction and supervision, sport records, communication, facilities, resources, risk management and compliance. A teaching load will apply as determined by the Principal.
About You
The successful applicant will be an outstanding teacher and capable leader who is committed to the Christian ethos and culture of the School. They will bring sound judgement, solid organisational skills, a passion for sport and student wellbeing, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, coaches and community partners.
Applicants will be expected to hold relevant teaching qualifications, maintain current NESA Accreditation,
hold a current Employee Working with Children Check clearance and First Aid currency, and demonstrate an understanding of child safety, WHS, risk management and professional boundaries in school sport.
