About the role:

Join Rabobank's Financial Economic Crime (FEC) Operations team where your work will help protect customers, communities & the integrity of the financial system from financial crime.
We are currently recruiting for 2 x Analyst, Financial Economic Crime Investigations & Suspicious Matter Reporting roles to be based in Sydney.
As an Analyst, working alongside & within a team of Investigators & Senior Analysts, you will support the identification, investigation & reporting of potential financial crime activities, including money laundering & other suspicious transactions.

Whether you have recently completed relevant studies or have some experience in financial crime, compliance, or investigations, you will have the opportunity to build expertise in financial crime investigations, transaction monitoring, intelligence analysis & regulatory reporting within a collaborative & supportive team environment.
What you'll do:
Assist in the review & investigation of transaction monitoring alerts & unusual activity reports
Analyse customer,
account & transaction data to identify unusual patterns, trends or behaviours
Conduct research & gather intelligence from internal & external sources to support financial crime investigations
Prepare investigation summaries, case reports & regulatory submissions
Escalate matters of concern to senior team members in line with regulatory requirements & internal procedures
Maintain accurate investigation records & documentation
Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to support investigation outcomes
Contribute to reporting, continuous improvement initiatives & team projects
What you'll bring:
Exposure to investigative, compliance, intelligence, analytical, risk management, or financial crime activities gained through employment, internships, work placements, university projects or extracurricular activities
Experience gathering, reviewing & analysing information to support assessments, investigations, reporting or decision-making
Demonstrated ability to apply analytical thinking & sound judgement when assessing information & identifying potential risks, issues or trends
Strong analytical & problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks & patterns in information & data
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
High attention to detail & the ability to manage multiple priorities & maintain accurate records
Demonstrated ability to interrogate big data & draw meanings, patterns & insights
The ability to work effectively both independently & within a team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word & PowerPoint
A curious, proactive mindset with a willingness to learn & develop new skills
