What we are looking for:
Applications are invited from qualified and enthusiastic educators to join the teaching staff of Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, Yeppoon. This is a full-time continuing position to commence Term 1, **** (18 January ****).
Under the direction of the Principal and in collaboration with classroom teachers the Teacher (Inclusive Education) will provide intervention support to students, especially those with specific learning needs.
The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusive education and enable equitable access, participation and achievement for diverse learners through expert support, collaboration and high-impact teaching. They will apply strong knowledge of legislation, including the Disability Standards for Education *****) and NCCD, and evidence-based practice to support student outcomes and effective case management. The successful applicant will have well developed organisational skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to work well in a team, as well as the ability to work autonomously. Key responsibilities include:
Provide expert advice on differentiation and adjustments.
Working in collaboration with parents, teachers and students to ensure Personal Learning Plans are developed and communicated.
Organise and timetable visiting paraprofessionals.
Coordinate or contribute to case management processes with parents, teachers and external agencies and ensure timely and accurate NCCD documentation.
Build staff capacity through coaching and collaborate with leaders to embed inclusive curriculum and accessible assessment design.

Evidence of successfully passing the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education Students

Sacred Heart Primary School Yeppoon has commenced in its journey towards becoming a four-stream campus. In ****, Sacred Heart will be four classes in Prep and Year 1.
Our school has a clear Catholic identity with regular prayer and liturgical celebrations as well as the teaching of Religious Education. The school has a team-oriented culture with year level teams of teachers planning together within the School Curriculum Framework. Specialist teachers provide lessons in STEM, PE and The Arts. The school offers significant opportunities for students to excel in sport, chess and music.
Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School is well-resourced with a court-size multi-purpose area, full size oval, modern play equipment and a Performing Arts area. The library is a well-used learning space and ICTs are integrated across all Learning Areas.

Mandatory Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualifications and the ability to obtain approved Queensland College of Teachers Registration
Australian work rights
Tertiary qualifications in the area of inclusive education or equivalent knowledge, qualifications and experience relevant to this role would be highly regarded.
