Dungog Shire Council supports a growing rural community of almost 10,000 residents in the vibrant and picturesque Hunter region of NSW.

It is anticipated that our population will grow by 1.9% per annum over the next 20 years as per the Hunter Regional Plan, higher than the state growth average.
With an additional 2,400 dwellings to be provided over the term of the Hunter Regional Plan, Dungog will be the second fastest growing LGA in the Hunter Region.
Dungog is ideally located just over an hour north of Newcastle and within close proximity to a range of other regional hubs in the Hunter Valley, such as Maitland and Raymond Terrace.

Following a comprehensive service review, Council isimplementing
Phase 2 of the Infrastructure & Assets transformation
,focused on strengthening middle management, clarifying accountabilities,improving coordination and ensuring our services are sustainable, well-governedand future-ready.
As part of this transformation, we are looking for a qualified and experienced Project Manager to plan,



deliver and close out assigned capital works projects in accordance with Council's approved Capital Works Program.
Reporting to the Coordinator Capital Works and forming partof the Infrastructure & Assets Directorate, this role manages contractors, consultants and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely and in line with community expectations.
Essential selection criteria include (full criteria in the Position Description below):
Qualifications and extensive relevant experience in civil engineering, project management, construction management or a related discipline.
Proven knowledge and demonstrated experience in contract management, quality and performance monitoring.
Demonstrated experience in managing the delivery of infrastructure or capital works projects.
Solid financial management skills including budget control, cost forecasting and funding acquittal.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary workplace.
Be Rewarded:
This position is placed at Grade 13 of Council's salary system and is a full-time, permanent position.
The salary offered is in the range of $108,915 to $122,515 per annum plus 12% Superannuation, leaseback vehicle and civil liability allowance.
This role works a 19-day month with 1 rostered day off (RDO) every 4 weeks.
