Where you'll be working: Join the Medical Imaging team across Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals, supporting patients throughout a broad range of inpatient and outpatient imaging services.

Work across a diverse range of imaging modalities and interventional procedures
Collaborate with nurses, radiographers, medical staff and the wider healthcare team
Support patients undergoing specialised diagnostic and interventional procedures

Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, clinical improvement and teamwork
What you'll be doing
As a Registered Nurse in Medical Imaging, you will provide safe, high-quality nursing care while supporting patients before, during and after imaging procedures.
Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate individualised patient-centred nursing care
Support patients undergoing CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and interventional procedures
Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including contrast reactions, patient history and incidents
Apply radiation safety principles to protect patients, carers and the healthcare team
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and upscale clinical concerns appropriately
Registration:
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA)
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated effective communication skills both written and verbal that build greater cooperation and confidence in care delivery.
Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team and effective demonstration of interpersonal skills in initiating and leading junior members of the team.
Commitment to continuing professional development.
Demonstrated ability to organise, prioritise work and initiative to work with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to ensure patients, carers, and families are well informed, engaged and confident about their care and treatment, within the scope of a Registered Nurse.
Demonstrate critical thinking abilities, prioritisation and communication skills, whilst effectively following directions.
