Impact of the opportunity This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact as the Fundraising and Philanthropy Lead at Endometriosis Australia.
Your role will be to shape and expand fundraising initiatives, ensuring sustainable income streams across community fundraising, major gifts, and corporate partnerships.
Collaborating closely with the General Manager, and leading a Coordinator, you will play a key role in delivering strategic relationship driven fundraising initiatives that directly support their important mission and long-term vision.
This is an opportunity to help shape the future of fundraising at Endometriosis Australia in a hands-on yet strategic role.
You will have the opportunity to lead and develop a direct report,
build relationships directly with philanthropic, corporate and community donors, and contribute new ideas and approaches in a highly collaborative, agile environment.
Key Responsibilities Design and implement an annual fundraising strategy with a strong focus on community fundraising, major gifts and corporate partnerships.
Manage one direct report, fostering a collaborative environment and supporting their development.
Coordinate fundraising activities, ensuring seamless delivery through effective supplier management.
Partner with the General Manager, Board, and Fundraising Committee to attract and engage new donors and supporters.
Lead the creation and rollout of impactful fundraising campaigns, including appeals, community events, and digital initiatives.
Build strong relationships with community groups to ensure the success of grassroots (DIY) fundraising efforts.
Develop compelling marketing materials and donor communications in collaboration with internal teams.
Identify and secure new philanthropic funding opportunities in line with organisational goals.
Nurture relationships with individual donors (both community and philanthropic), corporate sponsors, and funding organisations.
Deliver high-quality donor stewardship activities, including personalised communications, impact reports, and engagement events.
Oversee the fundraising budget, tracking performance and aligning efforts with financial targets.
Maintain accurate and detailed donor records and prepare regular performance reports.
Align fundraising activities with organisational goals through close collaboration with the wider team.
Skills and Experience Fundraising experience across varied revenue streams, including community fundraising, philanthropy and/or major gifts.
Ability to engage with donors and build long-lasting and impactful relationships.
A background in shaping the donor journey across a range of revenue streams, with the ability to create engaging communications.
A track record in prospecting, nurturing and stewarding donors.
Community fundraising experience or the capability to implement and deliver community engagement plans and manage DIY supporters.
Experience managing or developing others, or a strong interest in stepping into a people leadership opportunity.
A self-motivated approach with solid project management and execution skills.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, with a talent for building lasting relationships.
Proficiency with donor management systems (e.g., Raisley) and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of fundraising trends and a creative mindset.
Experience with CRMs and a data-driven mindset.
Familiarity with digital fundraising platforms.
A passion for their mission and alignment to the work of Endometriosis Australia.
