Job description Multiple NSW locations – Hybrid flexibility 3-month initial contract with view to further extension $***** per hour + super Our Federal Government Client provides funding to eligible people with disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life.
They also connect anyone with disability to services in their community.
The Role: The APS6 Policy Officer Contributes to critical policy reform to drive more efficient and effective NDIS intermediary services and achieve optimal participant outcomes.
Additionally, they provide policy advice to the Division by undertaking complex policy analysis, development, and implementation and apply judgement to manage highly complex and sensitive issues in a timely manner and to a high standard.
Key duties and responsibilities: Working within a team to develop and implement reform policy, strategies and projects related to the Agency reform agenda.
Identifying, building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Development of policy, project and corporate documents for review to a high standard Building relationships and engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
Designing, contributing to and leading engagement activities.
Make decisions using good judgement, expertise and knowledge, under limited guidance to progress work within governance and authorising arrangements.
Using data and technical inputs to form recommendations.
Contributing to reform projects in line with the Agency's scheme reform program and corporate plan.
Essential criteria Demonstrate analytical, research and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prepare explicit and concise briefs, reports, presentations and correspondence on complex issues for a range of audiences.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, applying structured approaches to analyse information, identify issues and contribute to practical solutions.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships, communicate information clearly, and incorporate feedback to achieve positive outcomes.
Strong ability to flexibly adapt to changing priorities and manage competing demands in a complex and evolving operating environment.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision, exercising sound judgement and initiative while contributing effectively as part of a team.
Desirable criteria Program governance and or project planning methodologies and expertise desirable.
Knowledge and or expertise in disability reform space would also be very well received.
Experience delivering complex procurement, cognisant of political context To Apply:
