Interplast Australia New Zealand (Interplast) was founded in **** and is a not‐for‐profit organisation which provides volunteer plastic and reconstructive surgery rehabilitation services together with capacity building activities to developing communities in the Asia Pacific region.
Interplast works to improve the lives of people living with disability as a result of congenital and acquired medical conditions, including cleft lip and palate and burn scar contractures.
Interplast works in close partnership with local hospitals, universities, governments and civil society organisations to strengthen health systems and build sustainable surgical and rehabilitation capacity.
Interplast is a signatory to the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) Code of Conduct and is an accredited non‐government organisation with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).
ABOUT THE ROLE The Coordinator of International Programs plays a key role in supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of Interplast's surgical and integrated care programs across the Asia-Pacific region.
Working closely with program leaders, clinical volunteers and in-country partners, the role helps ensure programs are delivered effectively, meet quality standards, and comply with international development and donor requirements This is a full time role based in Melbourne.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate the delivery of international surgical, training and capacity-building programs across partner countries.
Support program planning, implementation and continuous improvement in line with organisational priorities.
Build and maintain relationships with international partners, volunteers and key stakeholders.
Provide guidance and support to Program Officers and assist with volunteer deployments and scheduling.




Contribute to monitoring, evaluation, learning and reporting processes, including donor and internal reporting requirements.
Ensure compliance with DFAT, ANCP, ACFID and safeguarding requirements and support program risk management activities.
Coordinate operational activities such as travel, logistics, procurement and program documentation.
Collaborate across teams to strengthen program effectiveness and support organisational goals.
ABOUT YOU We are seeking a highly organised and collaborative professional with a qualification in public health, international development, health sciences, nursing or a related field, and at least two years' experience coordinating international development or global health programs.
You will have experience working with international partners, supporting health-related programs, and navigating DFAT/ANCP and ACFID compliance requirements.
With solid project management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, you will be culturally sensitive, solutions-focused and committed to delivering high-quality programs that improve healthcare access across the Asia-Pacific region.
