Role Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Food Services Assistant to join our team, supporting the preparation of food within the hospital and aged care facilities.
Providing a practical oversight of all aspects of Food Services within the hospital and aged care facilities according to food safety laws.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with the preparation, plating, and delivery of meals and beverages
Ensuring meals meet presentation, dietary, and service standards
Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and infection control
Cleaning and maintaining food service areas and equipment
Monitoring and reporting equipment issues and safety concerns
Following all policies, procedures, food safety standards, and OHS requirements
Supporting stock control and equipment tracking
Contributing to a positive team setting and continuous improvement activities
About you
Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety
A positive, team-oriented attitude
Valuable communication and customer service skills
Understanding of, or willingness to learn, food handling and hygiene standards
