About the role
With your project management skills and experience, you can contribute to the millions of ways we are enhancing health and wellness, while developing your career as part of the largest health organisation in Australia. We have commenced a recent project modernising the way Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs) work within our health system. This project will deliver improved engagement and remuneration processes, optimise payment systems and enhance the monitoring and reporting of VMO arrangements. There is lots to do,
so if you are an experienced senior project officer, who has been involved in implementation of NSW Health projects and you are ready to work on a fast paced, high-profile project, then you are who we are looking for. The role sits in the Financial and Corporate Services Division but expertise in finance is not required; strong skills in health system-wide project implementation are a must. What you will be doing
Reporting to the Associate Director, Budget Planning and Modelling, you will:
Manage and oversee all aspects of project planning, development and implementation for a range of complex projects related to the VMO Oversight Program
Develop project plans, coordinating resources, managing budgets, meeting reporting requirements, and supporting project-related activities, to ensure project outcomes are achieved
Work with teams across the Ministry of Health, HealthShare NSW, eHealth, Local Health Districts and Specialty Health Networks on the successful delivery of the VMO Oversight Program
About you
We are seeking a motivated and committed individual who can support the work of NSW Health with:
Previous experience working on statewide NSW Health projects
The ability to build relationships and manage a range of diverse stakeholders through excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills
Superior organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment
Proven capacity to prioritise, multi-task, achieve business goals, perform and always work with a customer focused approach
