Job Description
Deliver specialist clinical physics services supporting safe, accurate and effective radiotherapy treatments
n Perform quality assurance, dosimetry and calibration activities according to national and international standards
n Commission, validate and maintain radiotherapy equipment and treatment planning systems
n Provide scientific and technical advice on radiotherapy treatment delivery and planning techniques, including IGRT and VMAT
n Support implementation, testing and optimisation of new technologies, software upgrades and clinical processes
n Contribute to research, development and continuous improvement initiatives across the physics service
n Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists, Radiation Therapists and the broader multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
n Maintain compliance with safety, quality, accreditation and regulatory requirements

Requirements
n
n
Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Medical Physics or a related discipline
n
Be eligible to be on the ACPSEM Register of Qualified Physicists
n
Have demonstrated experience in radiation oncology medical physics and clinical practice
n
Possess strong knowledge of radiation safety, dosimetry and quality assurance standards
n
Have excellent problem solving, analytical and communication skills
n
Can work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment
n
Be committed to ongoing professional development and maintaining specialist expertise
n
Be passionate about improving patient outcomes through innovation and clinical excellence
n
Certain roles may require evidence of vaccination against, or non-susceptibility to, specified vaccine preventable diseases (VPDs)
n
