The Mackay Base Hospital Women's Health Unit is seeking a Clinical Nurse/Midwife (Birth Centre) for a temporary appointment. The role delivers advanced nursing/midwifery care, coordinating management plans and providing leadership to Birth Centre staff.
The Birth Centre uses a continuity model to support low-risk women with antenatal, labour, birth and post-partum care. The Birth Centre midwives manage a caseload of about 40 women per year under 1.0 FTE, aiming for 24-hour continuity of care
