Federal Government opportunity 12-month Labour-Hire contract (Hybrid Melbourne) EL1 equivalent: $*****-$***** per hour + super THE CHANCE Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced EL1 Assistant Director / Energy Project Manager to support the delivery of strategic renewable energy and energy storage initiatives.
This is a specialist opportunity for a commercially minded professional with strong experience across renewable energy, battery storage, electricity markets, infrastructure or commercial projects.
You will work closely with government stakeholders, industry participants and external advisers to support complex commercial arrangements and investment outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and support commercial analysis for renewable energy and energy storage projects.
Work collaboratively with internal teams, government agencies, industry stakeholders and external advisers on complex commercial matters.
Support the development, negotiation and management of Capacity Investment Scheme (CIS) Agreements.
Work closely with legal and commercial advisers and delivery partners to develop commercially sound agreements and project outcomes.
Provide high-quality commercial advice and recommendations to support investment decisions and protect Commonwealth interests.
Assess commercial risks, opportunities and project considerations while supporting continued investment in Australia's renewable energy and storage sector.




ABOUT YOU Strong experience in renewable energy, battery storage, electricity markets or energy infrastructure.
Demonstrated experience in commercial analysis, energy projects, infrastructure development or investment-related activities.
Experience developing, managing or negotiating commercial agreements, ideally including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) or similar complex energy agreements.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence government, industry and external advisers.
Previous experience working within or alongside Government, energy, infrastructure or major project environments will be highly regarded.
Must be an Australian citizen with baseline clearance or ability to obtain.
