As an Associate Fire Engineer, you'll ensure the delivery of technically excellent fire safety outcomes tailored to our client's needs.
This role will involve leading the fire engineering input on complex projects, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated and integrated designs, as well as contributing to the business development and work winning for the fire team.
You would also contribute to non-project initiatives and support the team leader in the team's activities and success The Opportunity Lead and deliver complex fire engineering projects, providing technical leadership and ensuring high-quality outcomes across a diverse project portfolio.
Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery meets client expectations, programme requirements, budget targets, and quality standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders, offering specialist fire engineering advice and building strong client relationships.
Prepare, review, and sign off technical reports, assessments, and engineering documentation in line with professional and regulatory requirements.
Support the growth of the business through mentoring junior engineers, contributing to fee proposals, business development activities, and strengthening client and industry networks.
Is this role right for you?
Chartered Fire Engineer (or equivalent) with relevant engineering qualifications, professional registrations, and extensive fire engineering consulting experience.




Robust technical expertise in fire engineering, including performance-based design, first principles assessments, CFD/FDS modelling, and complex project delivery.
Proven ability to lead projects from concept through to completion, managing competing priorities, quality outcomes, and challenging delivery models.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to produce high-quality technical reports, present complex information clearly, and build trusted client relationships.
Passion for mentoring and continuous professional development, with a track record of developing team capability, contributing to industry initiatives, and supporting business growth through client and industry networks.
