Transport Operations Superintendent About the Role Reporting to the Cane Supply Manager, you will be responsible for providing quality leadership to the entire Cane Transport Operations Team.
You will be accountable for managing and leading all Rail Transport Operations through the safe and efficient haulage of sugar cane by rail, from farms to factory for processing.
With a direct reporting team of 3 Train Crew Transport Supervisors, 12 Train Network Controllers, 6 Operational Planning Officers, all Leading a team consisting of 186 Transport Operations personnel across 3 rail networks.
As a minimum you will hold 5+ years in Rail experience Experience in Supply Chain and Rail Planning Scheduling Ability to drive and foster cultural change through your strong people leadership skills Experience in heavy industry haulage and strong operational leadership An excellent focus on safety and a strong commitment to the health and wellbeing of all work colleagues Valid Australian driver's licence Comfortable with working in a continuous improvement environment Demonstrated experience working in a transport / logistical environment Time management and ability to prioritise competing demands.
Maintain high work standards with minimal supervision.
Problem solve and show a high level of initiative.
