Our client, one of the largest hotel groups in Victoria is looking for qualified and experienced cooks/chefs to work in their large hotel situated in regional Victoria at Milawa.
The company sets creative menus bringing out the best of the local produce with their in-house dining room.
Job duties: Preparation, creation, decoration of food items Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality Plan, develop and estimate food costs when ordering food supplies Monitor quality of dishes Prepare and cook food demonstrating a variety of cooking techniques Season food during cooking Portion food Keep kitchen and enforce hygiene regulations Enthusiasm and creative approach to providing high-quality cuisine Demonstrated understanding of Australian food safety and HACCP Monitor and produce quality dishes in all stages of preparation and organisation Skills required -AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training or AQF Certificate IV or equivalent qualification -Relevant experience in similar capacity You will be joining a high performing workplace that believes in developing new talent and empowering people to drive their own results.
