Job description On behalf of a large Federal Government Agency, we are looking for an EL1 Assistant Director - Strategic Policy.

Key Responsibilities Lead strategic policy and reform initiatives.
Provide high-quality briefs, reports, presentations and correspondence for senior executives.
Analyse complex issues and develop practical recommendations.
Build and manage stakeholder relationships across government and external partners.
Lead engagement activities and influence policy implementation outcomes.
Contribute to a high-performing team culture and branch leadership.
About You Strong analytical, strategic and problem-solving skills.
Ability to translate complex issues into clear, concise advice.
Experience working at pace and managing competing priorities.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement, negotiation and influencing skills.
Demonstrated judgement, adaptability and ability to work autonomously.
Desirable Program governance or project planning experience.
Leadership, coaching or mentoring capability.
Experience in disability reform or social policy.
Complex procurement experience within a politically sensitive setting.
