Temporary full-time
until 21 March **** | 5 weeks annual leave + monthly day off included

About the role
As the Grade 2 Physiotherapist, you will join a supportive and collaborative physiotherapy and multidisciplinary team based at Maroondah Hospital. This role offers the prospect to apply and further develop your skills in the care of older people and patients with complex subacute care needs within the 22-bed Geriatric Evaluation & Management (GEM) unit, while also contributing to physiotherapy services within general medical wards as required.You will be providing care to clients witha variety of complex subacute needs with support from the multidisciplinary team including geriatrician.
You will be supported by experienced Grade 3 and Grade 4 Physiotherapists within our Aged & Complex Care clinical stream who are committed to fostering your professional growth and clinical development. The roleinvolvessupervision of Grade 1 Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants, and students, as well as contributing to quality improvement and service development initiatives within the department.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
A recognised tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy.
Current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (AHPRA).
Experience working in acute and subacute settings with older adults.
The capacity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Experience in supervision of staff and/or students.
High level communication skills, both written and oral.
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role, and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
