TLEA is welcoming applications for a full-time, Max Term
Technician Laboratory
to join our team working at our Kwinana plant.
The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and producing analytical values for the Kwinana Lithium Hydroxide Production Plant. The role of this position is to produce high quality data in a safe, efficient and timely manner. The information provided by the Laboratory supports the organisation to achieve its objective to produce the highest quality and most cost-effective lithium in the world.
In addition to possessing our core values of distinction, pragmatism, honesty, tenacity and innovation, this position will suit an individual with prior experience as a Laboratory Technician.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrated commitment to the maintenance of a safe working environment
Comply with all relevant standards in the Laboratory Quality Manual and Company policies, procedures and work instructions
Prepare samples for analysis
Operate and maintain Laboratory equipment
Perform final product analysis for grading
Co-ordinate and prioritise work to ensure efficient completion of analyses to meet turnaround times
Register jobs, enter data, review results and generate reports using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
Assist in method development and validation projects and the writing of Standard Work Instructions (SWI) and procedures
Actively participate in continuous improvement processes
Participate in all Laboratory activities including shift change, toolbox and safety meetings, audits and professional development training
Perform tasks as assigned by the Laboratory Supervisor
WHAT YOU CAN BRING
3 years' experience as a laboratory technician in a commercial, mining or production Laboratory.
Diploma or higher in Laboratory Techniques
Experience with laboratory equipment and software systems such as SEM, ICP-OES and LIMS.
Sound knowledge of quality assurance and quality control management practises.

TLEA proudly acknowledges and the Whadjuk and Gnaala Karla Boodja people of the Noongar Nation, as the traditional custodians of the Kwinana area, where we operate our plant.
Kwinana is 38 km from the Perth central business district, 20 km from City of Fremantle and just 7km from Rockingham.
