About the Role:
Canberra Health Services is seeking an experienced and motivated Speech Pathologist to join our team as a Senior Speech Pathologist (HP3), providing comprehensive acute services to adults with communication and swallowing disorders across North Canberra Hospital and Clare Holland House.
In this role, you will deliver advanced assessment and intervention for patients with complex clinical presentations, applying evidence-based practice, high-level clinical reasoning, and independent professional judgement.
You will manage complex and high-risk cases, contribute to multidisciplinary care, and build effective partnerships with consumers, carers, and key stakeholders to support safe, coordinated, and high-quality healthcare delivery.
As a senior clinician, you will provide clinical leadership through staff supervision, mentoring, and student education, while contributing to service development, quality improvement, research, and strategic initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and strengthen workforce capability.

Please note prior to commencement successful candidates will be required to:

Comply with CHS credentialing and scope of clinical practice requirements for allied health professionals.
Note:
This is a full-time temporary position available for a period of six to 12 months with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.
Appointment to the position may be made based on written application only.
Note: Under the ACTPS employment framework you may be placed in another role where required for the efficient administration of the service.
