About Us:
Coomera Springs Veterinary Surgery is a well-established veterinary clinic on the northern end of the Gold Coast.
We offer a full suite of services and are one of only a few clinics in Southeast QLD to boast a truly diverse client base including but not limited to cats, dogs, guinea pigs, goats, alpacas, birds and reptiles.
Our goal is to provide a high standard of individualised and compassionate care to all of our patients in an setting that is fast paced and focused on continuing education.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Veterinary Nurse to step into a key leadership role within our friendly team on a part-time basis.
In this role, you will lead, mentor, and guide our nursing team, driving a positive and supportive team culture where all nurses can grow and thrive.
Working closely with our veterinarians and practice leadership, you will oversee day-to-day nursing workflows across surgery, hospital, reception, and patient care.
You will play a central role in maintaining high clinical standards, streamlining clinic organisation, and ensuring an exceptional experience for our clients and patients.
Roster
Rotating Saturday shifts
No Sundays
No public holidays
About You
We are seeking a mature, highly organised leader who is passionate about clinical excellence, patient care, and staff development.
You will have:




Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent).
Previous experience in a Head Nurse, Team Leader, or Senior Nursing role
Exceptional organisational ability with a knack for managing daily workflow, task delegation, and fast-paced clinic priorities.
Strong interpersonal and leadership communication skills, with a mature, calm, and approachable demeanour.
Extensive hands-on veterinary nursing experience and strong knowledge of clinical procedures (experience assisting with complex surgeries, orthopaedics, or caesareans is highly regarded).
A supportive coaching mindset dedicated to continuous learning, staff retention, and building a positive workplace culture.
A positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
